NCECA 2016: Makers, Mentors and Milestones in Kansas City, MO

|

Strange days at NCECA 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri: photos were taken from the more than 100 sponsored and concurrent exhibitions of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts. Special thanks to conference roomies Alanna Derocci, Jonah Amadeus, and Bill Jamison as well as all the great artists who contributed work to this amazing event. From historic pots in the Nelson’s amazing Asian art collection to mentors like Steve Godfrey to perennial favorite artists to brand new emerging artists, from tiny Orton Cone Box competitors to giant dinosaur bones to the most outrageous articulated python skeleton, NCECA didn’t disappoint.
