1. 20×60″ vertical panel (working title Mirror Birds)

This week, I made dark blue background color monoprints with Akua liquid pigments; cut, sanded and painted the wood elements; laser cut an additional paper overlay; and prepared to assemble the whole piece on the panel with the background applied.

Some of the laser cut pieces had issues during cutting (see the tops of the wings), so I’ll recut those pieces and add them last as little puzzle pieces with superglue.

My airbrush also had a lot of issues with clogging, so I ended up using a foam brayer with white relief printing ink to get an opaque white layer over the unfinished birch plywood.
