day 155: august boxes
A new batch of laser cut books means new packaging so they can travel safely to their new homes: these later cut boxes fit perfectly and echo the art inside. These were made at TechShop Chandler with their Universal Laser Systems 18×24″ bed and .105″ and .205″ plywood. The pattern for the boxes is modified from a MakerCase design: the joints were so tight, the boxes hardly needed any glue to hold them together. Next step: a true laser-cut dovetail joint for a glue-free package!
