Repainting my house in 2019 was an opportunity to use bold color and special details to make it our own. Living in a subdivision, not exactly a suburb but also not part of a walkable downtown, isn’t our favorite, but access to the trails makes up for it. The least we can do is break the beige rainbow in our neighborhood and fly our freak flag proudly as artists. I highly recommend painting a small mural on your own house or asking if you can paint on your building: you can choose the colors from the extra paint you already have and make interesting blends, all while choosing the imagery and adding some personality.
“You can never judge a paint hue by the liquid color in the paint pot. You must apply it to the wall, wait for the paint to dry, then decide.”Dorothy Draper
